Apple Stuffed Pork Chops
Ingredients
1 rounded teaspoon cinnamon
ΒΌ cup butter β (See Butter Review)
1 slice cinnamon raison bread toasted and cut into small pieces.
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
ΒΌ teaspoon salt
1 (1 1/4 inch) thick pork chop
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2 Cut a large pocket in the side of each pork chop, season inside and out with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3 In skillet, heat oil to medium high and brown chops on both sides. Place browned chops in an ungreased 9×9 inch baking dish.
Step 4 Melt butter. Add the bread crumbs, apples, parsley and salt. Mix all together. Spoon apple mixture loosely into pockets.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for 30 minutes longer or until juices run clear.
