Beef Tips and Gravy
Ingredients
Beef Tips
2 pounds cubed Beef (Stew meat such as chuck roast)
3 tablespoons Cooking Oil (divided, or as needed)
1/2 Onion (chopped)
8 oz sliced fresh Mushrooms
3 cloves Garlic (minced)
4 cups low sodium Beef Broth (divided) (Water with B
Cooking Instructions
1.Cut beef into cubes, put in frying pan and brown on all sides. Put in crock pot,
2. Chop onions, brown in same pan with ¼ cup olive oil. Put in crock pot
3. Slice Mushrooms, saut© in same pan with ¼ cup olive oil. Put in crock pot,
4. Add garlic, Beef Broth, Worcestershire Sauce, Cooking Sherry, Soy Sauce and bay leaf to crock pot
5. Cook on medium high for 3- 4 hours, reduce to lower heat for the last hour
6. During the last 45 minutes of cooking add Sweet Rice Flour 1 spoon at a time
7. Add Butter, Gum, Browning Sauce
8. Add salt and pepper to taste.
9. Allow gravy to thicken and serve.
Serving
1. Serve beef tips and gravy over a side of mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
